HOW WE STARTED
Cj started out as a Toy Photographer on Instagram. He studied the craft by learning about DSLR settings and photography fundamentals. As soon as he developed his own techniques, he became popular in shooting action shots and garnered a huge amount of attention and followers on social media. A few years later, he eventually found himself making softgoods for the toys he shoots, which quickly turned into another passion of his.
His interest in sewing began when he started collecting 1/12 Fighting JC Figures by Three A and tried making ninja suits for them. He posted it on Facebook and it gathered a lot of attention. People started making inquiries about it so he began selling them. Everything sold out pretty quickly. Soon after, he added another product which was the Mezco Punisher trousers and the same thing happened, both became the most used custom clothing at the time.
Cj and Keithlyn were currently working on a regular day job at the time while Cj was selling his customs on the side. They became so interested in it that they eventually had to quit their full-time jobs to focus more on growing the business.
Keithlyn on the other hand has an Architecture background and ended up being a good business partner to CJ . She figured she could be of help to CJ, left the interior company she’s currently on with and decided to finally work with him full-time. Through working in several privately owned design firms, she gained a lot of experience in dealing personally and digitally with clients. From handling and submitting multiple design drawing projects with extremely tight deadlines to project management, project estimates and accounting, she applied everything that she learned to their business.
With the combined set of skills they acquired through the years, they managed to finally convert their passion in art into business and entered the toy industry together. The power couple exchanged their knowledge and expertise with each other. Cj taught Keithlyn how to sew and create prototypes, while Keithlyn opened up the entire world of Architecture which includes miniature model making and creating digital drawings.
Since they’ve started, several action figure customizers and collectors started regularly buying large orders of their products on their website. They eventually got noticed by toy companies such as DC Direct, Chronicle Collectibles, Four Horsemen Studios and D13 Toys for their work.
They currently work as official tailors of Four Horsemen Studios. Most of their work can be found in Four Hoursemen Studios' and Super 7's official website and social media accounts.
The list of projects they’ve completed can be found here: Past Project Catalogue
